Who knew musicals can be green as well as read? What happens when Jon Bon Jovi meets Al Gore? What goes down when Shania Twain meets David Suzuki? What might one see if they saw Gwen Stefani talk to Bono or Leonardo DiCaprio? Well in High School Environmental you’ll find out. In a time where Watsing and Carbon Footprints are not cared about, three singers will prove that it up to all of us to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

“The Essay”

By Olivia Rempel (16, homeschooled, Abbotsford, BC)

When Mrs. Taylor assigned her English Class a current events essay on the environment, she hoped that at least one of her students might learn something that inspired them to take action, but that was a long shot. She did not expect the new student, Willow, to already be well versed on the topic. Or Olive, who usually tries to blend in with the crowd, to actually express her own opinion for once. Then Robbie and Olive got into a debate on the topic, yes, that topic is environment!

Note:

Total performance time: 15 min
Suggested audience: K – 10
